Opposition Diko MP Pavlos Mylonas on Wednesday handed the justice minister documents containing allegations of corruption against officials at various government departments relating to migration and asylum.
Mylonas said afterwards that this was information he had collected himself and it was his view that it should be probed by criminal investigators.
He said it took many months “and after we received many reports about serious offences in interior ministry departments related to asylum and migration, we handed the minister documents and information requiring immediate investigation.”
Mylonas said the information related to abuse of power, bribery and negligence over the past five years.
He said it involved government employees at various levels and departments.
