South Africa: Mayor lays criminal case over Tshwane corruption

Msimanga delivered two forensic reports to the police, saying he wanted to “get rid of rogue elements in his administration”.

Msimanga, who took over the mayoral reins in Tshwane last month, has vowed to go after “criminal elements” who “milked the state’s coffers”.

Msimanga said he was going to put stricter measures on the city’s procurement process .

The corruption charges involve a senior official and a senior council procurement official.
