United Kingdom: The London boss of the UK’s biggest house builder has been arrested in a corruption probe

The London head of the UK’s biggest house builder has been arrested on suspicion of bribery.

FTSE 100 builder Barratt Developments confirmed in a regulatory statement on Wednesday that Alastair Baird had been suspended and arrested by London’s Metropolitan Police. Another, unnamed former Barratt employee has also been arrested.

The Met confirmed the arrests in a statement to Business Insider UK, saying a 52-year-old man, Baird, was arrested at a South Wales address on suspicion of bribery. An unnamed 47-year-old woman was also arrested in East London on the same charge.
